Best with a keyboard — but it plays fine with thumbs on a tablet.
Powers run on atomic energy, not magic. Drain a hero to zero and it isotopes out — it overheats, tags itself out, and cools down for four seconds while your partner covers you. Benched heroes recharge fast, so keep swapping.
Four ranks: Beginner slows the Rogues right down and keeps every hint on screen; Expert takes the badges and the recipe hints away and expects you to know the chemistry. Change rank whenever you like — nothing is locked.
Tag-swapping fires a combo burst. Some pairs make real compounds: Na + Cl builds a Table Salt Shield, Au + Cl melts armour into gold chloride, O + Na throws a sodium-oxide fireball. Helium refuses to bond with anybody.
